Dr. A"Cire (pronounced Ah-Seer) is a native of Newport News, Virginia. She was raised in the low income housing area known as Briarfield Apartments otherwise known to those native to the area as "down the bottom." Being raised from the so called bottom area of the city, there was no where to go but up. Growing up was no bed of roses. Despite her rough upbringing she remained an honor student throughout school. Although Dr. A'Cire suffered pain as a child, she states that having to hide that pain from teachers and classmates, "taught her to be an actress". "Acting is pretending and people all over the world wear mask in order to hide their pain and I was no different as a child and those skills followed me into adult hood.' says Dr. A'Cire. Dr. A'Cire would go on to become a model at 17 in local fashion shows in the Virginia and Atlanta area before making Atlanta her home. Modeling would lead her to radio hosting at Love 860 AM. She hosted two radio shows simultaneously. "Community Spirit" focused on community events and "Songs of Solomon w/A'Cire" a show featuring poems and jazz music geared towards christian couples. She went from there to voice overs under the training of DJ Doc (the Super Friends) who worked at Hot 107.9. Doors would open for her to become the first featured model for Down Magazine, a national magazine created by Jay Mills former CEO of the famous Source Magazine. That would lead A'Cire to become featured in several magazines and calendars under the direction of celebrity photographer Shawn M. Dowdell. Her modeling experience would lead her to launch a sell out book style calendar of her own titled "Sincerely A'Cire". Dr. A'Cire has gone on to be featured in several films and television shows giving her several IMDB credits (A'Cire Newby) and paving the way for her to be a SAG Eligible actress. Today, the proud mother of four is a published author of two books; On The Polepit and Camouflaged Life (both available on Amazon) and she has created several streaming shows on various platforms.. She has worn the hats of producer, writer, content creator, and director, "I have withstood trials and tribulations along the way...yet I stand strong believing my story of resilience can help someone else. Going from GED to Doctorate and today being an award winning Life Coach is the icing on the cake. Today, I love being able to share my story on various speaking platforms to encourage, inspire, and uplift teens, young adults, men, and women to never give up. If I can just reach one person, then everything I experienced was not in vain", says Dr. A'Cire.
